Does anyone know where in Cork I can get krombacher. I used to get it in the abbots ale house. I was up there last night to stock up and the guy who runs the place told me he's not selling it anymore. I haven't seen it anywhere else but perhaps someone on here has. Thanks.

I haven't seen it in an off-licence for a while, but the Bierhaus has it on draught. Nice beer.

edit: Have you tried Bradley's on North Main St?

You can also pick it up in Power's court on South William St (Dublin) for the outrageous sum of €5.50! What a rip off.

Definitely in one of the German supermarkets anyway.

It's so weird, the ads for Krombacher on German TV have the song "Belfast Child" in them.

Was in Germany last weekend & drank Krombacher for the first time. Delicious!

Over there 24 x 330ml bottles cost exactly €10 in the supermarket. 42 cents each, or thereabouts!

Except that it's 3.5 times the price it is in Germany!

That stuff gave me a worse headache than Tennents. Tried it twice. At least I had the excuse of ignorance the first time round.

Krombacher is a nice pils though. I'm in Limerick but I see it in most independent offies. Dunnes do it, 6 for €10 and my local Tesco have started stocking it too, 12 for €18.

Fine Wines in Blackpool has the 6 pack.

And don't forget that, as someone wrote above, Tesco have them on offer - at least they do here in Dublin. I assume it's the same in Cork.

Note the €27.25 per litre on the same price tag.

That's staggeringly expensive and must be a mistake!

Even in Tesco's it's "only" €4.81 per litre.

Still €1.71 per litre in Germany - just back from there.

    You're quoting a post from June '10. :D

Fine Wines bring in some amount of stuff. Some good and some bad. I said in another thread that I tasted their Valentines Weissbeir. JAYSUS, it was bad stuff.
