    Hi Guys,

Was just wondering if someone could help me. I just got a Samsung LCD screen and have NTL Analogue(running from the antenna cable). I have an ANT IN port on the back of the tv but it seems as though the Cable connected to the NTL is a bit too big for it. Has anyone else has this issue and if so is there anything I can do?

    Thanks

    Get UPC/NTL Digital.
More channels, better quality and cheaper. THe Analogue service is poor on LCD.

What sort of TV did you have before?

There are only two kinds of RF connectors in common use for TVs
    1) F-Connector, like Satellite box or NTL wall plate/setbox. Screws on and center is wire of cable.

    2) Similar size but push-on (Belling-Lee). Plug has a real centre pin larger than wire in F_Connector.

A very few (some portable) may use a 3.5mm mono jack or RCA coaxial (so called phono).

So what model Samsung, where from and how did you watch TV before?

Its not actually my TV, I'm helping out a friend. Poor lady just moved house and is really stressed that its not working. She plans on getting either Sky or NTL Digital anyway which should be through Scart or possibly HDMI if she goes for the HD.

She has a small portable at the moment and got the LCD as a treat. Not sure of the actual model. The standard ANT cable is coming out of the NTL Splitter and fits just fine into the old small TV and though theres an ANT in on the LCD it doesn't seem to fit. Was just wondering if anyone had similar issues. Thanks for the reply

I think I seen the model you are referring to for sale recently in Tesco's...the problem is that this is actually a monitor with HDMI connections but doesnt have any terrestrial connections. You are probably trying to connect the cable to component connection or something. You would either need a DIGITAL decoder or vcr to pass the signal to the tele.

Where did your neightbour get it??? Can she return it?
