Living near thick criminals

    I live on a road that the same people are living on for the last 40 years so out of 40 houses, about 35 are occupied by pensioners.

    A few doors up from me, a family moved in about a year ago after a problem family being removed by the residents committee. They are like the local aged malitia :) This family are always up to no good - but they keep getting caught. In the last few months they have been caught breaking in to one house, actually caught mid thievery in another, caught scoping, caused murder with the neighbours through bins and what not, verbally abused the elderly guys around them, caught dealing drugs - honestly, the worst crims ever! Id do a better job of it myself.

    Anyway, the res commies are after them so I presume its only a matter of time before they are out. But I was wondering how they actually accomplish this? Its a real pitchfork mentality - I sat in on a meeting and it was quite comical to hear all theyve been caught red handed at. (At the same meeting, my cat was named as a local nusiance right after the familys list of sins - mortified.....again!:D)

    So whats the procedure does anyone know? And also, could I be on the hitlist next seeing as my cat is causing bother? Hes actually better at breaking and entering than the guys a few doors up!

    From my own experiences, and worse experiences of people I know, I wouldn't buy an ex-council house ever again unless I literally knew the area inside out. There so many reasons that, but one of the major ones is that if just one house in an area is still and vacant, you can be very unlucky with who moves in. Mind you, some people would say similar problems are happening now in the private rental sector.

    I have to say theres never been any bother ont e road before. Its a pretty solid working class area and is renewing with new young families as time moves on. Its nice to see the kids out playing - doubtless in a few years Ill be moaning about the teens in the area being pains in the rear, but I enjoy seeing them about he place now. I moved in five years ago and have enjoyed seeing the changes. Obviously, as you say you can be unlucky with who moves in. It was the same house that was thhe problem before. I hadnt noticed a thing till it all kicked off one evening and the gaurds and teh crims all ended up brawling in my garden. Fun times :pac:
