Just a quick question, i guess this is the board for it.

Anyway i'm best man at my mates wedding back in england. I'm trying to organise stag do, i know that the groom mentioned he'd like strippers and entertainment. Is it acceptable to ask all those attending the stag do to contribute financially towards cost of venue / entertainment etc?

Say 25pounds per head? Is this reasonable?

I'm currently unemployed so cant afford it all by myself.

Never been at one or arranged one but I'd have thought everyone pay their own .. except for the groom of course !

Stag do or not, strippers arent everyones cup of tea so your mate mightnt be into that.

I was at a stag do many years ago where the groom to be had no interest in that either so while half the gang went off to strip bars and lap dancing clubs he stayed having a few pints with those who didnt need to pay women to take off their clothes :pac:

As for groom "mentioning" that he'd like strippers! Says more about the groom than the other mate imho.

Don't think you were asked for your opinion on what the groom liked?

Tell him if he didnt pay, he is not allowed look!

    Bit tight though.

Is he a good mate? As if he has a stag or is hoping to have one, it might be remembered

im sure stag's works same way as hen nite does - any hen nite ive been to we all pay our way - whether its dinner - we all pay X each - apart from bride - or if we are stayign away for nite - again we split the bill - but if out in pub or club we get in groups of 3/4 and go in rounds that way and everyone just buys drink for bride - so basicaly they dont spend any money at all

What did your post add? That you don't think much of the groom for wanting to see strippers on his stag?

Ive been on a few stags where we chipped in on strippers but we never made anyone chip in if you know what i mean. The stag paid into the club himself and a couple of us volunteered to pay him a dance.

Not everyone is into that scene tho so expecting people to chip in is a bit rich to be honest.

If you actually read my post you would have seen that it showed that not everyone is into strippers and so its not a bad reflection on somebody for not wanting to go down that route.

Other post(s) implied that the guy wasnt much of a friend for not wanting to chip in for a stripper.
