I wait alone for you to find me,
A crack of light, that warm sensation.
I hear you out there, in the debris,
    I'm in here, a combination

Of two. I'm waiting here for you,
and hoping that today you'll take me
From this place, you are my muse,
You are where I am supposed to be.

And there you stand, angel of light,
Everything I want and more, but then
You choose another, and while cry I might
I soldier on and hope that when

The time again for us to meet
comes, I'll be here, and you'll see me,
You'll take me, rest me on the sheet
and more. I slip and dream of what could be.

The touch of your skin, you take me
And I take you, now side by side.
Together we'll go where we must be
And never again will it be denied.

But you need to go, and I lie awake,
In the dark, thinking, maybe in shock.
You live your life, I'll be okay.
For you are my muse, and I'm your spare sock.

If I was going to register just to comment on a poem, I think I'd make my comment a bit more constructive than that! Anyway, the last line makes it fairly clear the poem wasn't meant to be taken seriously :D

I am keeping it, before some vandals steal it!

    Great poem. Write more please.

    my two cents

You rose the ghosts of forgotten ghosts
the hard thud of a shoulder
melting into a cold wind that slapped me there
and I have not forgotten that day.

There is reproach in your silence
    you have counseled Pontius Pilate
