Who is the Editor at this magazine, seem to have a serious chip on the shoulder? I picked up a copy for the train journey from Cork this evening. It's a light hearted enough yarn rooted in bitterness it seems.
None of the writing is accredited either.

John Mulcahy is editor. It's our version of Private Eye so it's meant to be a bit close to the bone. One daughter Orna's in the Irish Times, the other's on TV3 and son Nick's the man behind Business Plus

Totally disagree - Its one the few Irish publications out there that attempts to expose the rotten, incestuous, incompetent and corrupt nature of the Irish estaiblismment:)

One the main reasons Ireland is in the state it is, is because the mainstream corporate media ie O'Reilly Press, RTE etc. failed to due their duty to highlight and expose what was going on in the country during the Ahern years, because of their cosy relationship with the estaiblishment. We will all now pay dearly for that:mad:

Phoenix is a great for the way it looks at things and how it covers stories, or parts of stories, other publications don't.

Its strong reader and subscriber base speaks volumes for it.
