I go to ucc and as far i know, you can compensate if you get about 30%(could be 35%,can anyone confirm). Anyway, i got my results today and it aint good.I failed a subject and now have to repeat it in the autumn.I was wondering in the autumn, can you compensate again or is that only for the summer exams because i think im screwed if i cant. Its an accounting module wort 5credits and i was never good at it,just found it hard to grasp so if anyone has any suggestions, your more than welcome to say anything.

You can compensate if you have more than 30% in that exam. In the repeats, there is no compensation, as far as I know. You have to pass them on your own. i'm not sure, but I think it's just a pass or fail result, no grade.

What was the module & who lectured you? Accounting & finance dept. are a sound ol bunch & I'm sure if you contact your lecturer they'll put you on the right track.

Should you really be doing accounting?

In my time there was no compensation in the repeats, it was pass or fail and that was it. You have 2 months before the exam, you will be fine, just keep the head down and focus!

Accounting tends to be the same year on year so just get practicing the old papers. Just keep going over them til they're second nature, its not rocket science so I'm sure you'll be fine in the Autumn. Just remember you
Debit expenses & assets to increase them & Credit revenues & liabilities to increase them.
