I know we dont get great weather hear too often but i do wear glasses when its sunny or if its windy have to say i find em a help, also reduces the old hayfever due to itchy eyes

i have oakleys, but when playing recently a guy told me that my polarized lens are not the best for reading greens,he didn't know why and i never heard the like.............anybody got a clue on that

i also got the g30 type with the originals frames as they are interchangeable but never really used em as they do not seem to be as strong (i.e. block out much sun) but these are supposed to be better for golf,

anyway has anyone here any views or experience on same or what type of lens is best,

please answer mr duval if you do read boards!

I need perscription sunglasses and got a nice pair of wraparounds from Specsavers a few months back. Grand so far but think they have done little or nothing for my actual game!

I use polarized oakleys and haven't really noticed any problems.
I do normally take them off when putting though. Never really thought about why, but perhaps it is the subconscious telling me they're not ideal

weird i wonder is there something in what that guy told me so, maybe the ordinary non-polarized are best...

I took note today when playing yesterday. I definitely don't like putting with them on, but I reckon that's probably sunglasses in general to be honest... not sure the polarized lenses are making the difference.

found an article on same its a few years old but it's findings are that the cinamon/citrus/vermillion colour lens seem to do better than gray especially on dull days but that they are of help to stop dry eye and grit or pollen afeecting the eye which is what i think the glasses are most helpful for http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0HFI/is_8_50/ai_55158482/?tag=content;col1

    also found this http://kaenon.com/blog/tag/best-golf-sunglasses/

    in relation to polarized

so i guess its up to what you fancy yourself but wrap around orangish type lens seem to get the vot most often
