Hi, has anyone jailbroken an o2 iphone and used it on the o2 network with a different o2 sim - i.e. Does o2 blacklist iphone's from the network if it is reported lost via the IMEI number or does the jailbraking etc workaround this?

    Thanks.

it works fine. just watch out if you put a sim from the iphone into another phone then back into the iphone it may need to reactivated through itunes

So o2 can't/wont blacklist a lost iphone from the network?
    That's great, thanks.

Ah, I don't think the situation I'm talking about is the same though because as far as I know o2 ireland and o2 uk are seperate companies, this is assuming it's o2 uk operating in the north.

    Could anyone clarify?

Sounds like you're talking about an insurance scam. i.e. report the phone lost in the UK and claim on the insurance, then sell it to another country...

Speaking of someone who was a victim of that (bought a used phone and then went roaming to the UK only to find it was barred from all the networks) I can tell you that it sucks balls.
