    Hi,

I am living in Dublin. I have provisionally booked an appointment to see a hygienist/dentist based in Warrenpoint, Co. Down.

The closest appointment I can get is July 10th.

I understand that marches (and some trouble) starts in the north around july 12th. (I am not familiar with this as i have never been to the north, nor do i have any interest in all that catholic/protestant feud nonosense).

However, I am concerned as to the safety of travelling up to warrenpoint on the 10th July. Is it wise to do this, or should I definitely not travel at this time?

    Thanks

    Dan

    Hi Dan,

I think you might find more answers in Belfast/Northern Ireland Region forum.....I live in Belfast but not familiar with Warrenpoint, or the 12th celebrations for that matter, so don't really want to give you misleading info! Sorry I'm not more help!

OK Dan, i apologise for my flippant remark. i was just having some fun. i see you're serious with your query. I've only been to Belfast once in my life and managed to get home ok. I have no idea about life in the north. (been too scared to go there---- and i'm 57). I really think it's safe enough now though.
But i see i answered your question on another thread (periodontist). if you take my advice on that thread, you really don't need to go up north at all.

PS- I wan't aware you started both threads when i made my initial responses

I hope your attitudes to your dental care are more informed that your geographic knowledge of Ireland!
