Company director/Paye Worker... dole?

    I have a small company but work is terrible this summer. It'll pick up in the Autumn but in the meantime I'm pretty broke. Are there any special rules as I'm a company director and a PAYE worker for claiming the dole?

    I've often wondered this myself.
    I too am a PAYE employee (Class A) but am also a company director (I havent yet paid myself a salary from the company, mainyl because it's a relatively new business and hasnt made any money!).

    Have often wondered if I am made redundant from my PAYE job, whether I would be entitled to benefits or not.
