For hunting I would recommnd the jack brittingham dvds, jack covers all game from bobcat to mountain goat to the big 5 in africa. With both rifle and Bow and I know you are a fan of the good old bow :D:D. I have about dozen of his dvds and really enjoy them. Usaully have them after about 10 working days.

For hunting books I really enjoyed the Peter Hathaway Capstick series, its also big game hunting in africa and some from north and south america.

One of the first big hunting books I read was by ex USA president Teddy Roosevelt. Written about 100yrs ago when things were alot different.

Try also Safari Press for books and dvds.

I would say you couldn't go wrong with

Foxing with lamp and rifle by Robert Bucknell

If you were into lamping as the man is a wealth of info.

Ways of the Rifle is pretty much the best out there at the moment for shooting (as opposed to hunting). Not for the immediate beginner though, and definitely not a substitute for a coach who knows what they're on about.

I wonder why people start threads and then dont bother to comment on them at all ?

    Sorry about riflehunter77

    Thanks for your links.

I have been very busy the last few days so as such i had very little spare time.

On another note, the last book i read was called The Ultimate Sniper.
a lot of it was well OTT but had some good sections on scopes and ballistics and 1000++yard shooting. Some of it was easy to read but i had to fight my way through some of the tactical army engagement stuff.
