    Hi guys,
Does anybody know anything about this? I thought I saw a piece on it on the indo this morning saying it was delayed until after the summer. Couldn't find the article again though. How will this work? I scanned it and it mentioned a smart card system. Will you be able to drop a bike at any stand? Say if for example I cycled one of the bikes from home to work? Would there not then be the situation where there might be too many bikes at a stand? Sorry if stupid qs. I am trying to decide on whether to buy a cheapie bike for cycling to work or get a really good bike for around my local area where I think it would be safer :)...thus using the rental scheme for work part!!

    Yes

If there's a station near your house, then you'd be able to do that.

They're going to actively redistribute the bikes around the city to prevent them building up in particular locations.

Buy a decent lock,(e50+), work out the best places to lock the bike, Lock your well locked bike beside a ****ty dual susser which looks like its locked with a string of spaghetti. Replace the levers on your QR skewers with allen key bolts.

The only bike ive ever had stolen, was from my house. I lock my bike in town most days.

If you have house contents insurance you could add your bike to it.
