Braces removed for wedding?

My friend is in the dumps because she is getting married shortly and has braces. She got them late - is in her 30's and they are supposed to be in for another year , but she is getting married in six months time. She doesn't want to ask her dentist to take them out in case he says no and she has to live with the "ruined"…

She doesn't want to ask her dentist to take them out in case he says no and she has to live with the "ruined" wedding photos - don't ask me about the logic of this, its woman logic is the only conclusion i can reach :pac:

So dentists out there, if a distraught braced up lady wants them out for a wedding is it doable or really not recommended unless for dire medical reasons?

IT's definitely posble. It will cost her to have them taken off and then put back on again but it can be done. Also she will have to wear retainers on the honeymoon or else have the braces put baack on before her honeymoon to prevent relapse.
