Selling on ebay using 3v card

    is it possible for me to sell items on ebay without a credit card,all i have is a 3v card and im not to sure on how that would work.

    Can't you set up a paypal account and use that?

    Yes you can use the 3V card for ebay..but its just another commission to pay...you have to pay 3V to put money on card..then ebay take commission...then paypal take their share...long line of rape !!!

    Afaik. 3V cards allow the owner to buy something with it , rather than receive money on it.

    It's a sham.

    Let me explain. You can use up to 5 3V cards through as many sites as you care to use it on that accept Paypal, you pay through Paypal without actually being signed up to it.

    Basically, once you've used 5 different 3V Visa numbers tied to your name\address, you get 'flagged' by Paypal, basically you cannot pay through Paypal using 3V.

    I have no idea what the solution is, I am in the process of trying to find out. What pisses me off is that this limitation is not mentioned on the 3V site with much gusto or clarity..

    My guess is the solution involves being forced to sign up to Paypal and\or sending off photocpies of identification. Which I'm not keen on doing either, as I am quite happy paying through Paypal without actually being part of the whole malarkey.. sites like Deal Extreme etc.

    3V seem to use customer support in another country, there are language barrier issues (polite emails sent).

    Selling on eBay has nothing to do with Paypal or receiving money to a credit card. You need to register a credit card with eBay in order to pay your fees. Paypal is a payment method you can use, if you chose, but it's not a requirement for a seller (yet).

    Just another fee to pay for services rendered. Paypal have costs, as does eBay and 3V, their charges may be extortionate at times, but you can always chose not to use them.
