Getting a green bin?

Well I checked the opening hours of the local bring centre and at 9am to 4pm and closed weekends I'd have to take a morning off work to go to it. There is one farther away that is open weekends but it's a piss poor service so I'm wondering how difficult it is to get a green bin.

I found greenbin.ie but can't find anything on it about actually getting one, which seems impossible so I must be missing something obvious.

Can anyone give me any info, or even point me in the direction of any info?

    Thanks

Ring your Local Authority and ask them for one?
