Summons (?) question

Hello all. Can someone enlighten me on the following please?

My friend has lived in spain for a number of years now, having been resident in Ireland for the last 30 years. She has just recently divorced her husband and he is not being nice about it - nasty emails about her etc. etc. All that aside, she ran a business when she was resident here and used to pay under the counter to a few local kids who would work in the kitchen and out back (preppers / dish washers etc). Ex-husband has now said he's contacted the Irish Revenue about it and that there'll be a summons waiting for her next time she returns to Ireland. he keeps asking her what dates she has booked her flights for. We don't know whether he is lying or not, and if not, surely she would get some kind of notification from the Revenue as he has (allegedly) given them her address in Spain? She's hoping to come home for a month in August and is terrified she'll get arrested at the airport....!

Any words of wisdom most welcome...! thanks all.

If the husband is harrassing her, then have her talk to her legal representative.

I imagine he wants to know the date she is back so he can either have a row or have her served with court documents.

I would suggest she has nothing to worry about. The revenue have better things to be doing. Plus they can't arrest someone in such circumstances. If he shops her in the revenue will first have to investigate, if they find something they send a summons. Then you go to court months later.

They don't roll up in a Revenue Commissioners van with guns and nets!!!;)

Without giving legal advice, I would say that there is zero chance that somebody in such a situation would be arrested, and a 1% chance anything else would happen.

    He's winding her up.
