Good shots LM,its only when you see them lined up like this that you see all the ZVs and english reg cars that we have here now, theres only a handfull of original stuff in all those pics. What would the classic scene be like if we hadnt england to draw cars from i wonder.Nice reg on the shadow..

That's what I was wondering too.

I suppose it comes down to a choice between an original Irish car and the possibility of having the exact model, specification and condition at a reasonable price.

It's actually become fairly exciting to come across an origional Irish reg car, they're are fewer and fewer around (or else just more and more UK imports). That RR was a bit rough, lots of rust etc. IIRC.

    Yup,an endangered species lol!
Id hate to pay for the restoration of a rough shadow...

Lol, after watching Wheeler Dealers on a Bentley, I'd hate to pay for anything on a Shadow :P

I wonder what the history on that Shadow is though, surely must be quite interesting. It has the appearance of something that was stored ina damp shed unfortunately.

Also IMO the tyres are too small for it, looks like they are the wrong profile, though I can also see the suspension looks to be set too high, but deffo soomething not quite right about its stance.

Thanks for posting those pictures mate, very methodical the way you took EACH car one by one. i must try that myself some time !

Well when I got there, a few people were trying to talk to me and I had to introduce a lad to another fella, so I started out and one by one just walked in a line and snapped everyone of them.

The resident expert at doing that without looking is Panhard PL on here :P

I have a 12.2million pixel shot of that RR if anyone wants it to have a closer look.

That last picture of the tractor, that was completely remote contol. Very well done.

I have noticed that its almost the first thing I look for when I see a classic car, whether it is originally Irish or not. It seems less genuine if not for some reason, but it's actually ridiculous because the car is supposed to be the interesting thing, not the number.

Most people would not know that a ZV is not an originial Irish plate. It's one of those things that classic car enthusiasts get fussy about.

    Correct.

There is so much competition out there, I think having an Orgional Irish reg lets you have one up on the next fella who has a similar condition car with a ZV reg.

TBH, the reg doesn't bother me. I will say I have the ZV - 5 number regs, I think they look horrible, but after that it doesn't bother me one bit. Nice to see them around though.

I don't know of any way to upload it full size only through email. So PM me your email by all means, or ask Panhard to forward it on to you.

Is the blue Mustang 68 WX 525 belonging to one of the lads on here?
I think he was toying with the idea of a respray awhile back, and decided on that colour.

    Great pics LM
