Hi just received the foot pod for the forerunner 50. I am trying to set it up for my boyfriend but there is no light or anything coming up on it?? Ive checked the battery and its there and I dont think it could be broken or in need of replacing as we just received it today ??

Ive checked the manual and nothing at all is coming up not even the foot symbol on the watch. Has anyone got any idea why this is ?

    Thanks!!

hey...i have the same watch and had teething problems at the start.

You have to pair the watch with the footpod...instructions are in the manual...if its paired it will automatically pick up a connection when the watch/footpod are close to each other.

    Hope this helps

I bought the garmin forerunner 50 set and it was paired already the footpod to the watch
But I had to pair the heart rate monitor i had to wet it to activate the sensors (like sweat) to pair it

So when you are trying to pair it try shaking the foot pod as if you where running, it might help

But my foot pod and h/r monitor worked together but the foot pod has stoped like you where saying with no light or anything all of a sudden. I think the foot pod is really bad!

Thanks!! Figured it out after hours!! The battery was the problem I didnt think it would need replacing a few hours after being taken out of the box!! Have paired all the devices now so he will check it out when he goes for a run. Still cant figure out the maps on my garmin it says I cant down load one!
