Boards.ie has the best Irish golf forum, but does anyone know of a good UK golf forum? There's Golf Monthly, but I haven't found anything else.
    All help appreciated.

Golf Magic would be one of the more popular ones. If you plan to plug the book there it shouldn't be a problem but you might get a bit of abuse from the 'regulars' so thread carefully ;). I've done a bit of lurking there in the past :). It's a very good site and very active forum though.

I'd second the recommendation for golfmagic...the forum tends to be very busy. I've done a bit of posting/lurking myself, and Adiaga's right, some of the regulars can be a bit overzealous, but if you contact the site editor (he seems like a decent guy) he may even decide to do a review of your book and make a feature of it

I was thinking the same. He has the user name Bob Warters. Definitely worth a shot.

There used to be a newsgroup that was popular

    uk.sport.golf

    http://myreader.co.uk/gp/1232-1.aspx

The US one I used is

    http://groups.google.com/group/rec.sport.golf/topics

But it can be full of pompous idiots.

    More ideas....

Thank you gents, that's exactly the sort of thing I was after. Yes, it is to plug my book. And yes, I shall be careful and not too 'obvious', although I like the idea of approaching Bob Warters.

Do you want any of us, who post "abroad" to plug your book for you if the subject of irish courses happens to come up?:)

I sure ain't going to say no to an offer like that. Any plugs are welcome, so thanks Markie4. My publisher hasn't got the book into UK shops yet so I'm checking out all forums, magazines and radio stations. Who knows what will turn up.

I think you should try the US forums too Kevin.......it's a big place and they love their golf.

Think this could be the perfect opening / opportunity for you Kevin. I think you even get a mention at one point (see comment number 2):
