Acer webcam switching off!!

    Hi, I've got an Acer Aspire 5920G and it's been working really well....the only thing is that one day, about a week ago, the inbuilt webcam just switched itself off and I can't turn it on again.

    It's nothing terrible but I'm away from home for the Summer and it'd be nice for my family to see me on Skype, instead of just hearing my voice.

    I've tried messing with the control panel and default settings etc but haven't had any luck. Am I missing something obvious or could it be broken/faulty? Any suggestions very much appreciated!

    you can probably turn it on using a combinatuioin of fn key and on of the function keys (thats f1 to f12). The f1 to f12 key you need will have apicture of a camera on it in blue more than likely. Press that function jey in combination with the fn key and it shoudl turn iton.

    Thanks for such a quick reply! Still nothing unfortunately...tried all those buttons, none of which have a camera pic on them by the way, and still not working........
