    Hey all,

Just wondering what are the official age limits for a tongue piercing?

And also what are the age requirements in the different studio's around Dublin?

    Cheers,

    Jordan.

    No official/legal age.
No decent studio will do it with out you being:
    • 18 with I.D.
    • Have eaten a large meal within an hour or so.
    • Have not drank Alcohol that day or preferably the night be too.
    • You understanding the risk of not looking after your new piercing.

    Those are the basics.

I have heard that some places will do it if you are below 18 with parental consent?

Is this true or is it complete bull?

Even if it is true, don't go to those studios.

Ok, well one of my friends got his done in georges street arcade at 16, with parental consent.

He has had no problems so far, and he has had it for the better part of 4 weeks.

    Should I do the same?

And also what are the good studios in Dublin?

Bloody hell, I didn't want to bring up names but that, in my opinion is the worst studio in Dublin.
And really, the worst I've ever been in, world wide. I've been in quite a few mind you.

Seriously, just wait until you're 18 and get it done in a GOOD studio.

Good studios in Dublin would be like likes of Snakebite, Bodyshock and WildCat.

It's going to be tough to wait untill I'm 18

It'll be a lot tougher having an infected tongue.

Not really tought, It's actually more effort to go to a piercing parlour, sign the forms, get it pierced and heal it than not

Yeah ok, so just completely avoid georges street then?

    What about miss fantasia?

Right yes get your tongue pierced. You clearly are not listening to our advice so why post looking for it.

Actually I am listening to the advice, I'm now just curious to find out what studio's are good and what studio's are bad.

If they're willing to do it when you're under 18, there's helpful advice often suggested here:

    Don't go there.

Seriously, anyone that will pierce your tongue when you're under 18 is NOT the kind of place where you'd want the staff to have the use of sharp objects.

Bit of a catch 22, really.

Yeah alright, I'll wait till i come of age then.

Could a mod please close this?

Yes, haven't really heard of Miss Fantasia.

I would recommend Snakebite. Also don't don't make your decision of what piercer to go to based on price
