MIDI Controllers....

I've been looking near a year now for a MIDI controller and still can't seem to choose one.

I first wanted a 25 key controller, but One octave is just too limiting so 49 keys would be good I think? 61 Keys would be nice but the price range is a bit too much for now.

The problem is I can't find any good 49/61 key MIDI controller(OR any keyboard style instrument with MIDI output i.e. a synth) that is velocity sensitive, has semi-weighted keys and is below about €70.

Does something like that even exist? I'd hate to get a synth-action keyboard too because they feel cheap to me and I just hate the feel of no resistance.

If you get lucky maybe find one second hand! - for semi weighted, it's going to be hard to find anything 'quality' at that price. I can't live with short keyboards either ;)

You won't get a new semi-weighted keyboard in that price range I'm afraid.

Look at the M-Audio Axiom or CME products for the best value semi-weighted

Found a used clavinova with stool on the buy and sell for cheap enough....
The clavinova we use at school(Well I don't use it but you know...) is pretty high end so is it normal for a used clavinova to be so cheap? Lower end models even.

Maybe they don't realise how much it's really worth. Check out the model number on the web. But even if the onboard piano sound isn't great, the Yamaha keyboards are among the best actions, so it'd be super for MIDI.

Its a CLP 115, sounds a bit too good to be true.

    Its only €50?

Worth a shot tbh, gonna go view it.

That's a lovely keyboard, I know it well, taught on one. The keyboard had become detached from the lower cabinet. Maybe that's a common problem? It was still a perfectly functioning keyboard- if I was buying one I'd get rid of the cabinet anyway, and put on a desk with the computer.

And, it's a school. Institutions often undervalue things. That's why I have a free weighted keyboard, and an Amek mixer for peanuts :)
