Do trinity halls offer accommodation for the summer by any chance?

I need to find a place to move into next weekend for 4 weeks, or would there be any campus accommodation for that matter.

if not does anyone know of a place along the luas line that might work,
    cheers.

Halls do.....it's charged at the full rate ( About 150 a week). Give Linda a call in the office. A word of warning though....I lived there last year and it can be a very errie experience during the summer especially as there are no spanish students over this time around. You'll also be thrown in with whoever else is there which can lead to issues regarding keeping kitchens clean etc and you'll be required to pay a deposit.....which in all likelihood you'll lose.

    right thanks for that Dan.

It would be a bit silly paying that price for the 4/5 week's.
I might give her a call and see if they would consider a cheaper rate this year but if not I will have to look elesewhere.

Trying to help a med. student find a place to stay in Dublin while they intern for 7 weeks in tallaght and crumlin. I was looking at halls as a possibility.

From what I've read so far:
    1. It's about €150 per week
    2. Must pay a deposit (€250???) (do people often lose these?)
    3. The "easiest" way from halls to tallaght is to walk/get the luas(green line)/get the bus, to town, then get the luas (red line) to tallaght.
    4. The easiest way from halls to crumlin is... bus from town?

Is all of the above about right?

With the early starts, sleep is apparently a priority. Anyone know if halls is as loud and mental during the summer as it is during the academic year?

If anyone can think of somewhere better i'd be grateful to have alternatives to look at. Location-wise it's not awful, but for the price it might be worth looking elsewhere. Suggestions?

I ended up finding a house that is perfect for 100 euro a month in donnybrook, I would not even consider it if ye are based in tallaght, I know of flats in smithfield that would suit better, I can pm you the landlords number if you want, they cost 540 a month during year, but its not as busy over summer, you may be in a position to haggle.

Thanks for the reply. Could I get that number off you?

Just on one point there -
    3. The "easiest" way from halls to tallaght is to walk/get the luas(green line)/get the bus, to town, then get the luas (red line) to tallaght.

That's wrong - the 65 and 65b both go up Rathgar road - a 10 minute walk away. These both stop at Tallaght hospital, and take about 20/25min with no traffic. Going into town and out again - a good hour and 20minutes.
And Halls isn't as mental at all. Very little noise, especially as it is just mature summer students this year.
