Help needed choosing a tv

Im planning on getting a new tv which will be mainly used for the xbox and then for watching tv/dvds but mainly gaming.Something around the 32" mark.

I know next to nothing about tvs and am not even sure what the difference is between hd and hd ready.

Ive a budget of around 350 - 400. I cant go up north so im basically looking at irish stores or online.

Any advice at all of where to look would be great. A friend of mine got one in Argos (acoustic solutions one) for 350. Is this is a good option?

I have'nt heard anything positive about Acoustic Solutions.Have a look under the"Biz" heading,(commercial interaction)for the Richer sounds.ie section,they've 32" sets on offer.I got a 32" LG 32LH2000 from them 2 weeks ago,great picture quality,it's €420 now,they deliver,great service.

Guys,

I think that Argos TV is an LG2000, not an LH2000 - so it does not have MPEG4 decoder - it's still not a bad TV but be careful if you want to receive MPEG4 digi broadcasts in the future,

Hmm, I've had a Phillips before, not really all that good, if u could get your hands on that Samsung in Currys, I'd recommend it. Hav a Samsung LCD which I use for my games consoles and they're really good for the price you're paying, great quality, haven't got any dead pixels for the past year and a half.
