    Let's get this genocide started.

Looks good, you do worry that it will inevitably suffer from all of us knowing whats going to happen but different perspectives are always good.

    Looks really good!

Looks great, new perspective should be very interesting.

I'm quite interested to know if there's any reason behind the 33mins and other small things like that.

I'm expecting the 33 minutes to be a sick joke on the part of Cavil, linked to the rule of thirds. (33 minutes = 33% = 1/3)

The rule of thirds was believed to be a sign of divinity, that God had a hand in human creation due to proportionate measurements of the human body. The Egyptians and Greeks/Romans are known to have been aware of these measurements and used them. I only did art for a brief period in school but I remember this much regarding Da Vinci's drawings of the human anatomy.

The length of the hand from the bottom of the palm/wrist to the tip of your outstretched middle finger is one third of the distance from the tip of the finger to your elbow.

The distance from the bottom of your chin to the bottom of your nose is one third of the length of your head.

The distance from your eyebrows to your hair line is one third of the length of your face.

The length of your ear is also one third of the length of your face.

If you stand with one foot in front of the other, heel to toe, the combined length of your two feet is one third of your height.

There are others but I can't remember them - attacking the human fleet every 33 minutes would be the kind of thing Cavil would get off on, using the sign of divinty as a means of destroying the human race,

Cavil probably would, yeah. There may be no luck on an explanation behind the 33 minutes. Though having said that, obviously RDM may choose to throw an explanation into the show but it's not as if there'll be time to play around with so I suspect he won't.

(edit: having watched the trailer after posting, feel free to disregard any or all of the above:))

It looks like Shelley Godfrey is in that clip when Baltar goes into the toilets to talk to her.

Can't wait for it. Still miss BSG terribly.

Tricia Helfer interview January 15, 2009
The prequel movie, The Plan, will air sometime after the series finale. How many questions will it answer, and how many new questions will it raise?
It may raise a few, but I don’t think that was the plan of The Plan! [laughs] It answers big things, like what the Cylons’ plan was, but also little things. There’s an episode in the beginning with one of the Sixes, Shelly Godfrey, and fans were like, how’d she disappear and get off the ship? Well, this will show you how. And a lot of it is from Brother Cavil’s and Sam Anders’ perspective.

    So, when does this air?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,289 ✭✭✭Talisman

In November on U.S. Sci Fi channel. No exact date is available yet.

I thought the 33 minutes was the amount of time it took the Cylons to relocate the fleet after they made a jump. Pretty sure that was what they guessed in that episode. I had never thought about it any more than that.

Nice to see that we'll find out how Miss Godfrey got off Galactica.

1/3 of an hour is 20 mins.....

When I first saw this, I was very worried. I so didn't want them to ruin it, but after watching the trailer and realising it's the cylons side of the story, I got very excited. I so can't wait for this. I hope it airs between 19-29 Nov as I'll be in the states then.

This looks good, really really good!

Looks good, I will embrace anything that give me my fix of cylons :)

I'm almost 6ft, that would mean each of my feet would be 12inches long, which isn't the case. DaVinci was overhyped :)

    looks interesting cant wait.
Caprica will be starting soon too!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,119 ✭✭✭Volvagia

Caprica out on 22-Jan-2010 according to Myepisodes.com

Thats the pilot so i'd imagine it will continue on weekly after that.

Its so cruel that the pilot was out soooo much earlier than the series. The anticipation is to much.

    Looking forwards to this.
Just bought the blu-ray complete series of BG so will be re-watching it all again beforehand on my full HD LED 46 inch screen with 5.1 surround sound.

    Roll on Caprica too.
(I'm quietly praying it don't get pulled before it even get a chance)

I just got the blu-ray box set last week and it's taking an almighty amount of will power not to watch it until I see The Plan :(

    This is true. Good point.

The only place to buy the Blu Ray complete series at the mo is Amazon that I can see.

I kind of hope it gets a little cheaper. Their tax and delivery push up the price.

Husband got the box set for 125 I think. Expensive enough but to see it in such clarity is something else.
(That, Firefly/Serenity and the West Wing are our top shows)

I can't wait for The Plan and Caprica as well. The Plan will be first, right? I've heard that Caprica -The Pilot was in the air? Is that true?

The Caprica pilot was aired months ago (before Christmas I think). The Plan is planned to air some time in November, and the Caprica series should be some time next year.

Edit: there's been an update. Looks like it will premiere on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download on Oct 27th, then get its TV outing some time in 2010: http://sev.prnewswire.com/entertainment/20090717/LA4793117072009-1.html

Hmm, Olmos said there'd only be another movie if people actually bought the plan.

Since I will be buying it I think I might as well watch it on BR.

True and we should all keep those preorders in there, but for those who like a good spoiler YAY.

I dont think there will be any more movies as they sold off most of the sets and equipment earlier this year.
Btw I just noticed that The Plan is written by that hack Jane Espenson and not Ron Moore.
My hopes have nose dived .
