    Good afternoon

I am contemplating studding over a large interior ceiling to floor window so as to have a complete wall. There is also a PVC front door elsewhere to be replaced with a timber one complete with doorframe. I have a few queries which someone might be able to answer:
    1. What dimensions should the stud timbers be?
    2. Ditto for the PAO for the doorframe?
    3. Ditto for the architrave (half round) for the door surround?

    Thanks in advance

Studs are generally 4x 2" or 3x 2" which in metric will usually be in or around 100x 44 or 50mm in the former and 75x 44 or 50mm for the latter. PAO door frame is typically 44x 125mm or 44x 100mm depending on wall construction. Architrave can be 69 or 75mm x 19mm thick, generally.
