Right what is the craic with the recruiting. THe website says recruitment is frozen but by some threads im reading they are still recruiting but slowly, is there some secret knock on the door or what??

I phoned 67 barracks in Dundalk and was talking to a fella, he said there was something like 200 applicants waiting to get into their regiment. He told me to apply and when they are recruiting (he couldnt put a month/year) they would be recruiting LOADS!!!!

Is it just going to be when Brian Cowan and co get their act together???

Anything I can do now to ensure that when they do recruit that I will have a very good chance of getting in??

    Thanks,

    Any replys would be good.

might be sooner than you think....(the election)

oe else theyll just recruit to keep the numbers at their original...so when 10 guys leave 10 can join

Those words do not belong together when a politician is around.:p

About recruiting as far as I know the situation changes every week. Even if it starts going again it will be for those that are already in the system (again as far as i know). Don't let that stop you from showing interest. Call the company office and ask then what's going on.

If you don't already have the number use THIS to find it.

EDIT: oh you have the number .......anyway it's there for any other potential recruits

If you hadn't already applied, you'll be waiting till 2010 at the earliest.

Think I'll throw my application in anyway. Better to have it in for when they reopen recruitment then trying to beat the crowds when it opens

Don't count on it, its very unlikely that FG would change anything, considering that they are likely to sweep, and considering they are a no borrowing/lots of cutbacks party.
