Hi, it has been suggested that I post this on here. EPICmtb are running the final round of The National Cross Country race Series in Djouce Woods ,Co Wicklow on 12th July.
We are running a one lap Intro race for people who would like to have a go who've never raced before or would just like to see what its like. You will be timed and you will be able to see what kind of lap time you have coapared to the other categories.
There will be more details on the EPIC website in the next couple of weeks.
    But heres the basics.
Sign on is open from 9.00
    Underage races start at 11.00
    Sports/Under 16's/U14s and Intro race at 12.00.
Elites and age Categories are off at 1.30
and theres always a great party afterwards at the prizegiving.
The lap is approx 7k , very technical and extremely cool to ride.
The cost to ride is €15 for you one day licence ( your insurance)and €5 just to cover costs for Numbers etc.Unless I can nab a sponsor for the Category, then there won't be any admin cost.
Feel free to ask any pertinent questions.

thanks Mr Storms..just to let folks know, this will be going ahead.
its not Ballinastoe, it is a hardcore XC course. The atmosphere will be brilliant and it'll be definitely be a challenge and it would give beginners and newbies an idea whats possible with a bit of training and experience.
