If you go onto the itunes store theres some mixes on there you could use for ideas.

Edit: at least they used to, just checked and they don't seem to be there anymore.

Think it some sort of heavy metal -death, trash, some noise like that.
More into the 80's metal - the real stuff. AC/DC, W.A.S.P, Maiden etc.

It's OK, neither have I and I'm younger than RK. :pac:

    For the record, when I started running two years ago I used to take music with me, ran my first marathon with music but didn't listen to it half the time. Occasionally when I'm feeling rubbish I bring music with me again, when I'm feeling REALLY rubbish I put on my old playlist, just off the top of my head some of the utter sh*t I had on there;
    Highway to Hell - AC/DC
    I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith?
It's My Life - Bon Jovi
Stronger - Britney Spears(for the lyrics only - was very motivating, honest)
    Heaven - Bryan Adams
    Everytime We Touch - Cascada
    Truly Madly Deeply - Cascada
Because You Loved Me - Celine Dion (I don't even know why ha!)
    Fighter - Christina Aquilera
    Survivor - Destinys Child
Listen to your Heart - DHT?
It's Raining Men - Geri Halliwell (feck knows  )
I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
    Because of You
    Breakaway
The Trouble With Love Is - all Kelly Clarkson
Southampton - Leeds Highlights -(when we beat em 4-3 after being 3-0 down at half time :D )
Marching on Together - Leeds theme tune, no explanation needed, I usually listen to this one on loop before a race
    Lifted
    High
    Happy
    Run - all Lighthouse Family
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
The Worlds Greatest - R Kelly, another one I listen to on loop before races
Don't Stop Movin' - S Club 7 (again feck knows)
Greatest Love of All - running is the greatest love of all :pac:
    One Moment in Time
Run To You - all Whitney Houston
    I am the only

Told you it was utter sh*t :pac:

Agh Ken-rique E-Bates-ias, that's on there too, but since Wise left the lines about him are fairly pointless.

"with Deniiiis Wise and his wobbley eyes we can quite possibly succeed..."

Edit: I've had to have a listen to it now...ah hopes and dreams :(

Some good tunes here people, I used to never leave my house without my Ipod but saying that when it came to races i nearly depended on it. So i try not bring it out, its grand at the min cause i have a few people to run with but when your on your own.. Nothing better then when a goood tune comes on, your nice steady run becomes more of a tempo, run fast while the corus is on and try recover while the verses play haha:cool:

Osnola, we're pretty much snap on the playlists, aphex (especially selected ambient 88-92) and prefuse would feature strongly here. Unfortunately, our nano is a family one, so my runs tend to include a touch of high school musical, Alvin & the chipmonks or perhaps chapter 11 of narnia!

Never really run with earphones unless there is something I specifically want to listen too and dont have the time otherwise but when I started doing tempo runs at first I made a play list that was pretty good at getting me going:D

    Johnny Cash-Cocaine Blues
    The Pogues-Sickbed of Cuchulainn
Dropkick Murphys-Im shipping up to Boston (the song from the departed...I dare you not to speed up when this comes on:D)
    Flogging Molly-Drunken Lullabies
    The Clash-Brand New Cadillac
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club-Spread Your Love
Fatboy Slim-Push the Tempo (appropriate title;))
    Beastie Boys-Intergalactic
    Queens of the Stone Age-3's & 7's
    The Prodigy-Funky Sh1t

Tiesto is the meat+veg of my running playlists.. bright morningstar, 10 seconds before sunrise.. all great tunes.

Denga & Manus - Cenwen (Vengeance Spellforce mix) is the special sauce.. after about 1.5mins it dies down very slow, you slow your run, then it cranks up the speed again massively... really really love it. No matter how little energy youve got you want to sprint for it.

Now i'd never admit to listening to such crap in the real world... its only place is in my running playlists :)

    HYSTERIA - MUSE
THE MIDDLE - JIMMY EAT WORLD
LETS GET IT STARTED - BLACK EYED PEAS
    BORN TO RUN &
    GLORY DAYS - BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN
ONE SAID TO THE OTHER - THE LIVING END
CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS - IRON MAIDEN
YOU KNOW MY NAME - CHRIS CORNELL (james bond theme)
    HEY GOD - BON JOVI
GO WITH THE FLOW - QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
    CRY FOR YOU - SEPTEMBER
    TOMORROWS PAPER - MICK FLANNERY
    POISON - ALICE COOPER
    SPECIAL K - PLACEBO
THE BUCKET - KINGS OF LEON
SHOP SUEY - SYSTEM OF A DOWN

Thats a bit of a mix but i love them all. They all get me going and keep me motivated. When i feel very tired Go With The Flow is the pick me up and drive on mad song!!

Have to say my playlist pushes me along quite nicely

Clubbed to Death - Matrix Soundtrack
Most the Linkin Park/Jay-Z album Collision Course, great beats
    Mr Brightside - The Killers
Shipping off to Boston - Dropkick Murphys
End of the Line - Metallica
Man In The Box - Alice In Chains
Bleed it Out - Linkin Park
    Breakerfall - Pearl Jam

Lot of fast pacey songs there to keep me going towards the end of my run

Paul McCloon today fm at 7. I met him recently and told him he has been getting me fit. I like his show so much but only listen when running.

He put on a White Lies Song in the last mile of a 10 miler a few nights ago. The chorus is "keep on running, keep keep on running, theres no place like home, theres no place like home. It was great.
