    Piss poor backup for Hogan

"Who do we have thats around that area?"
    "Sean Waltman!"
"Triple H's former bootlick? He might be able to get added stars"

    One week later...
"Who ya got for us, Sean?"
    "Luke Williams!"

Why do i have a feeling this is gonna sink faster than Malice At The Palace?

I will place a fairly safe bet that Hogan will not be on that card come bell time on the night.

WrestleSlam is a convention I believe, not a wrestling show. :)

I believe they had Warrior and Hart before.

Would like to go, but only if they weren't acting the bastard with the rest of the stars. X-Pac? Half of the Bushwhackers?

I'd go if they got Ted Di'biase in there. Foley, Booker T, Flair, Snuka, Jake Roberts, Piper... But X-Pac and half a tag team don't exactly make me want to throw money at it. Hogan is a good guest, though.

At this stage I wouldn't piss on Hogan if he was on fire, let alone pay money that was going to end up in his pockets

Shinzon, i can't see anything about this on their site..?

Got a Direct link? WrestleSlam 2 is all they seem to be mentioning (from January past) and an advertisement for Iron Sheik for March 2009.

Hogan is bankrupt. Linda gets $40,000 a month and he needs the money really badly to support her...cough..drug habit...cough

As in original post you need to goto the forums to see the info about the convention, you need to register there to see it

For what reason? His playing of the poitical backstage game, or his personal life?

I don't really have issue with his political antics backstage, that's just part of the business really, but his personal actions, particularly that leaked phone conversation between him and his son after the accident that left Nicks friend paralysed, leave me with zero respect for him

i heard he traffics women from poland!!

your sayin that if i run into hogan in burger king he is gonna charge me 200 for an autograph....thats completely untrue...

grames i was trying to point out that hogan (while flawed and possibly insane) can do alot and we would still want to see him.....

if he kills 400 people he's be in jail....i was making the above point...

As already mentioned, there's the phone recordings where he shows no compassion towards a man left paralysed and brain damaged because of the actions of his son and where he talks about trying to make some money out of the situation

The thing that's always annoyed me about Hogan is the way he always makes things up to get himself over in some way. It's beyond ridiculous

Ever read Hogan's Bio? The man is obsessed with Money - thats all he bangs on about in his book - money money money.

Thanks mate. Looked back at my post, didn't want to seem as much of a tool there as I sounded. Was just wondering what he done to endure the scorn of the PW forum!:)

I remember reading a really long list of stuff that he has made up in order to get himself over in interviews. Some being:

    1) Fujinami nearly breaking his leg on the WWE's last stint in Japan and how he and Vince McMahon were fearing for their lives.
    2) Hogan creating the "Macho Man" character.
    3) Hogan couldn't believe that Bret Hart lost to a skinny scrawny Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 16
    4) Hogan put over Shawn Michaels at Summerslam 2005 by simply shaking his hand

The list goes on and on.

Haven't read his bio for the same reason, I wouldn't pay for it since he most likely gets royalties. And I can only imagine the completely insane ego-**** and bullshit he spouts in it, I'd imagine it's better suited to the fiction section than the biography section.

There's also the attendance at Wrestlemania 3 which increases by the tens of thousand with each passing year.:pac:

Don't forget about The Wrestler being based on his life and him being asked to play the lead role before Mickey Rourke was asked

That's just an example of him making up the stupidest stuff. When did he ever live in a caravan, separated from his family, working in a shop and doing indy shows at the weekend?!

Just to give you a little perspective on this guys, a Taxi driver that used to pick me up regularly when i was 858585 used to live in the states and was partners with a guy who ran a limousine hire business over there, one of there customers was hulk hogan, in fact the taxi man drove hulk hogan the day he signed on with wcw, he got to know hogan very well and he said that the public and private personas of hogan were poles apart, he was a genuinely nice peson who was thankful for everything he had, now this was over a decade ago but I wouldnt beleive everything you read or here about him

Still yes hes made things up etc etc but who doesnt to up you profile and keep your name out there

To be fair, in 93-94, he was almost washed up. You're damn right he was thankful for everything he had, because he was filming Thunder & Paradise with the mindset of him being the next Hasselhoff (who convinced him that was a great career move anyway?), He had just been given the bullet from Vince because after refusing to drop the title to Bret at the proposed Summerslam 93, when he did drop it to Yokozuna at KOTR, the first question he asked was "When will I be getting it back?" before Vince promptly fired him.

Oh yeah, nice guy indeed. ;)

Was he not supposed to do a return job to HBK in 2005 and then legged it?
He done a surprising amount of 2002 I think, even midcard guys like Christian were allowed to pin him. :pac:

No, he was originally slated to do the job to HBK in 2005, with Hogan then getting the win in a rematch if the program kept going, but he then got weird with the booking two weeks prior to match at Summerslam.

Why is why HBK made him look like a horses ass by overselling every move.

So basically Hogan out politicked HBK.?:pac:

Depends on how you view the end result. HBK put on stellar matches wrestlemania after wrestlemania since, while Hogans been on the phone to his lawyers and financial advisors.
