Clearwire refund, stupidity on my part?

Got a text from clearwire today saying the direct debit wasnt successful and if i didnt pay my service would be terminated.

I found this a bit strange as i had rang up and canceled with them 12 months ago on the very day i bought the modem.

The lady on the phone ( who was very nice ) said iv been incorrectly been billed 30e a month for the past 12 months by direct debit. I rarely check my bank statements as i dont use the bank anymore but there was abit of cash in it from time to time.

She told me a mistake had been made and i would be refunded all the money today! I still have the modem lying around somewhere as they never rang me to collect it, another mistake which she told me they made.

I`ll be refunded about 320e which is pretty damn sweet even tho its my own money lol.

    Anyone had any similar experiences?

If you haven't canceled the direct debit in the bank, they may continue to take your money.

from past experience and many many threads here and elsewhere they are a very tricky bunch who never refund without a fight or court proceedings. at least a mugger will hold a knife in your back so you know they are robbing you!
