Online booking & etiquette

My club has a new brs tee booking system. I see some tee times have just one player booked and the booking option is still available for these times.
When the full four spaces are not blocked off does it usually mean that the player who has booked one place is open to others joining him/her, and should I just book alongside if I want to join in. Im pretty new to golf and still finding my feet, learning the rules etc.
    Thanks for any help.

When there is one person booked in you can book in to play with them aswell if you wish. The choice is up to you. ;)
