How easy is it to change a chainset. Do I need any special tools?

Rushing here, so the short answer is that yes it's easy, but probably will require special tools. Just what tools you need depends on the crankset.

I did it recently. It depends on the type of chainset/bottom bracket you have. Do you know what type you have?

A picture would help, would be able to tell then if internal or external BB.

Had a quick peek on the interweb ... R600 looks to be the ones with 2 piece crankset with Hollowtech Bottom brackets .. easy enough to change ... especially if you are going for Ultegra with the same ...

By the way ... I think R600 is pretty close to Ultegra spec wise.

I have the bottom bracket tool ... PM me if needed ... we can do it in 10mins or so ...

@ Short Circuit - Sorry thats not it. That looks like hollowtech, the one I have isnt.
It looks ugly and I dont like it. Everything else on the bike is Ultegra, so I want to chg crank to Ultegra.

Would be glad to avail of your tools/expertise in this matter.
I can repay you with a nice pint.

Have the crank ordered, so once it arrives I will PM you. Thanks.
