Ok, it's much debatable question, but I'm looking to get a new GBB and personally I'm torn between which to get.

I'm a lover of both styles but I'm stuck between a KWA glock 18c and an Army armaments 1911 MEU

The glock I love for its full auto feature, extended mags of doom and after market stock, and overall fun factor compared to alot of pistols as far as I can tell

The MEU I love for its general good looks, aftermarket upgrade performance parts and low price (the MEU with 4 spare mags can be shipped for same price as one glock here, and as much as I like to support irish shops thats a saving not to be looked down on, although obviously lack of any warranty)

So does anyone have any thing to add which may help sway my decision? It's swaying towards the glock at the minute, but looking at the price of the 1911, I'm tempted!

i had a few pistols, kjw m9, kwa mac11, kwa glock 18c but when i got my tm meu it put them all to shame so i sold them and only use my meu as my back up!

    1911 all the way!!

I had a KJW glock 23, it was a brilliant pistol, but i got a socom wilson combat 1911 now and would reproduce with it if i could.

For practicality the glock, larger mag, smaller, lighter and less gas.

For pure compensation 1911, full metal, whopper kick off it, tis the shiz.

interesting... is there any way in particular that you feel it outperformed the rest?

with the tm i felt i could do with a double tap what i required a lot more rounds to do with any of the others! you could get a tm hi-capa extreme,,,, auto 1911,,, the firepower of a glock auto and the class of a 1911!

yeah iv seen the one your talking about, nice piece of kit! although to be honest another selling point of the MEu i mentioned was the price, serious bargain going on there, although like with most bargains I can sense it'd bite me in the ass down the line when it falls apart....

I have a few KWA glocks and a few 1911s from various brands including the army armaments one,
the army armaments is a great pistol and has good performce, parts are handy to get for all TM style 1911's etc etc

but i would choose the glock, its superior performance and bullet proof reliability make it a better choice. ive been using one for nearly 2 years without issue. twas even left in an overgrown field for a month through all sorts of weather, when it was found it was still gassed and ready to rock. lol

Have a Glock 23F, my first pistol and I love it. Slide rattles a little and its a tad small (I'd recommend the G18 its a bit bigger I think) but otherwise its rock solid. Great kick to it, nice weight and economical on the gas as long as your not using full auto. And theres nothing like a suicide run at someone with it on full auto:D

Other advantages include being able to listen to fiddy cent while going mad with it, 49 round mags, Gucci factor, comfy grip and a good few aftermarket bits.

That said I do plan on getting an MEU myself in the future

its actually the one on ebaybanned and the mags can be found on ehobbyasia!

But thanks for all the input from everyone, nice to get everyones thoughts!

I'm going to go with the glock though, pretty much based on Masada's post, thats pretty much as an extreme stress test your gna find for an airsoft gun lol

So basically, gucci-ness gansta-ness and reliabilty...ness has won the battle for now!

Found 130 euro worth of 1cents and 2 cents in my room (no that is not a joke), think the lads at eirsoft would be annoyed counting it? :p

Glock 18c, tan frame, threaded barrel, silencer, stock and sh1t load of 50 rnd mags here I come

*sigh* this will go on FOREVER...

In terms of performance there is little difference in both pistols in semi auto capacity... The Army 1911 and KWA glocks perform quite well, and to my experience, reliably. (having owned both) However, the full auto facility will reduce your gas efficiency significantly... Its a lovely gadget, but you really wont use it that often, and imo, just get a 17 for your trouble...

Also, consider this... glock... 23-4 round capacity mag, or longs as you seem keen to use holding 50.
    1911... 15 rounds or so.

As for tan frames... you heretics make me sick :P
