Nobody likes filling in market research surveys- i've pestered all my family and friends & got a great response, but i need more:(

I thought maybe other people out there are in the same boat as me & we could do a kind of market research survey exchange.

Basically: you fill in my survey & put your boards.ie username in the comments box at the bottom of my survey. Then you post a link to your survey on this thread- which I fill in. Maybe other people that visit this post would also choose to do your survey in return for you filling out there survey & the whole thing would snowball.

    What you think?

    edit> Loooong Version
Here's a link to my survey
    edit> Short Version
Due to feedback from other users, I've created a shorter survey here.

Wow that survey is long man. Don't think you will get much response tbh

I done it for you just for the sake of it. But it could be far better laid out. You are going to turn people away IMO unless you shorten it. I also feel as if I'm repeating the same questions over & over.

But good luck and my advise is negative but I'm only trying to help

Thanks for the feedback Smcgie & Cabla, I have taken it on board. I appreciate you taking the time to do the questionairre Smcgie- it is very kind.

This is the survey I have circulated to family & friends. I have got quite a good response from them. I have created a shorter version of the survey here.

i wouldnt say your questions are relevant today. Last years travel behaviour is going to be very different from this year's and the next couple of year's for both business and pleasure.

There's already data showing far more people staying at home. My friend works in a multi-national and travels to europe 4-5 times per year and the states 2-3 times. Thier travel budget has been slashed and are tasked to come up with solutions other than having to travel, Video conf etc. And any travel that is required gets scrutinized.

(the reason i know about his travel is he keeps going on about it, he's gutted)

Why dont you just state what the product is and ask how people buy it (on a scale).

Or go to an airport and ask the questions in your survey.

    Hi Betonit,
Thanks for your comments. I agree with you that international travel is down, but I wouldn't say that last years travel behaviour is irrelevant. Travel for the first quarter of this year is down 13% on last years figure for trips by Irish people abroad according to the CSO, so information from last years travel can be compensated accordingly.

Unfortunately I can't just state what the product is in a public forum, because as soon as I do this I forfeit my right to patent the product.

I like the airport idea, I think I'll give it a go for the next round of market research.
