so which one is better? i mean like which should i choose cause my career guidance teacher reckons science since that area is really expanding (he said something like that anyway....) is accounting good choice seeing as all the businesses are closing down?

Science has more jobs right now. The financial sector got sucker punched, and i'm totally biased but science is way more exciting!! :P I'm gonna cure cancer!

From what i can see, your best option would be to do a general science degree and try focus on maths, computer science, physics etc.
If at the end of the 4years you still want to move into accounting, a degree in physics etc will give you excellent standing...many people i know have used their physics degree to move into accounting, law, actuary etc with great levels of sucess. Employers see you as having analytical, locigal and problem solving skills...great attributes in the world of finance.

The major advantage of this is that with a science degree there are so many options available that you will find something that you like to progress in...be it in computers, biomedical sectors, finance, telecommunications, research, engineering etc.

    good luck!

it actually depends on your abilities.

Science right now either requires someone who is very creative and can collaborate with other professions to deliver a product or a service, or someone who will be testing/researching technologies, chemicals, etc.

I know from my friend's experience, who was in a science course, that you will have to be good at dealing with failure, first and foremost. If you're undertaking some experiment and you have not got satisfactory results, you'll have to try again and again. Also, you willl need to start undertaking your own research or participate in various relevant activities from year 1.

If you truly enjoy science then go for it. To actually get through the course you will need a genuine love for the subject.
