I'm going, mainly because I really want to see the Super Furry Animals again, but it also sounds like a fairly cool laid back festival.

I've never been to it before so I'd be interested in hearing someone who has been to its opinions.

I heard that it was going to be SFA's only gig in Ireland this year, which is why I'm dragging my normally rather lazy arse up north but now I heard they're playing some other independent festival in Cork, I believe. Ah well, should be good anyway.

    Are you going yourself?

I'm all about the small festival, it's such a treat to have such an excellent band playing too.

I'm in the same position, both ticketless and clueless re accommodation, I don't even own a tent. Ah sure we'll see.

Are the Furries on at 11.30pm? Is that right? Is there no curfew in Bundoran?

    Verdicts?

Personally I found it to be the most enjoyable festival I've ever been too.

Everything from the relaxed atmosphere, the location, the people (met soooo many cool people), the music, my fab new tan, and of course, the most excellent Super Furry Animals. Not to mention it was cheap, superior value for money. I'll definitely be heading back next year. :)

what an excellent weekend! went along with the lads on the cuelk lorry so didnt know what to expect at it. after being in slane last weekend, which i did enjoy, it was great to go to the sea sessions, such a relaxing atmosphere, everyone was so friendly, music was excellent. a great event and hope it goes from strenght to strenght.

Heard there was continous singing of Spandau Ballet's 'Gold' in the campsite on Friday night.

Yeah, I think I vaguely heard that commotion. My end of the campsite was more into throwing things (I got a satsuma in the right breast, bad times) and playing hits of MGMT on the harmonica, good times.

Was playing in the band competition and have to say it was a great festival. As the above posters said, really relaxed atmosphere and everyone was there to enjoy the music and events and i didnt see a hint of trouble. Will definately head down to it next year. For 53 bills you really cant go too far wrong. Also note that the drinks in there were cheaper than most pubs! Kopperberg to my knowledge is usually about 5.30-5.50 (well, depending on the place) but was 5 flat inside. Definately reccomend it, great weekend.

I was around for that, it was deadly, some quality bands there. Which one were you in?

I foolishly opted for the cheaper bavaria option. Bavaria, it would appear, gives me an awfully bad head. Well I know better for next year.

I was there for the Sat nite only but was excellent nonetheless.

Any SFA fans in here that could post a setlist for Saturday?

Is it true the Furries only played a 20/30 min set because of the ridiculous stage crew taking so long?

Haha, i went the bavaria way also and lets just say the drive home was tough! Im in DeXtra btw. We were the ones with the hats and the mad singer hehe. Was great to get to play there even if we didnt win, and in all fairness the winning band were pretty damn good.

The roadies were a joke all right. I think it was almost an hour of them setting up. Although I thought it was funny after a while because one of them seemed to be singing some incomprehensible song as they were testing all the odd SFA samples and it looked like some weird avant garde experiment!! :D

The Furries played a 1h 20min set it I remember well enough. Was a bit disappointed it wasnt longer

Hi there. I didnt get to go to this event unfortunatley. I was wondering about the capacity, does anyone know what it was? I dont know if there was different stages, but for example what was the capacity of the main stage? Even at a guess what would you reckon? Thanks a lot.

Overall a few thousand ppl were there. The stages were inside tents. A big top tent for the main stage and a smaller one for the smaller stage. I am rubbish at guessing capacities though. Seasessions has a facebook page and they have posted lots of pics of the festival so you can have a look.
