Chute Controls for JF Harvester

    Hi,

I am looking for chute controls for an old JF Harvester FH 111S Varichop. This is an old-school machine where you have to adjust the chute by hand. I am looking for hydraulic or cable controls for it but they are not easy to find. If anybody has any ideas where I could pick up some I would be very grateful. Must be in decent condition.

If you need any more information just let me know.

    Thanks

we have an jf1100 mk2 it came standard with electric controls ,, they only lasted a year and gave up the ghost and we had to buy new motors and so on they are also very slow,,
so eventually we decided to fit hydraulic rams instead of the electric motors but after setting up to the tractor we slowed down the spoolvalves,,
so it wouldnt break the chute we welded up brackets for the rams we used rams which are about a foot long,, we set up the system, in about a day big improvement.

    Hi Dking,

Is there any chance I could get a few pics of the work you did as a guide? If you don't have time don't work because it was great to get an idea for what to do.

    Best,

    Charlie

We used to have hydraulic control on our JF FC80 back in the 80's but it was very sensitive and even a slight flick on the spool valve lever would flip the ram to its max position. Got a different chute with electric motors then in the early 90's and while the reaction was slow it was much more controllable. Wouldn't mind seeing a few pics of your setup.

We did this years ago on a single chop jf. Used 2 small rams and got round the speed problem by fitting restrictors on the fittings of each ram. Worked well if i remember right we converted a few for some neighbours as well.
