I'm drinking allot of tea lately and with it allot of sugar. Anyone recommend a sugar substitute that does not leave an odd after taste?

I use honey in my tea but that might not be to your taste. I don't get an after taste from Splenda, have you tried that?

My understanding is that there has never been any conclusive evidence that sweeteners are bad for you, only that aspartame may be bad for rats in ridiculously large quantities. If you want to back up your statement, by all means fire away. Simple carbohydrates (like sugar) are generally best avoided IMO.

That's about 300 calories, give or take, and a lot of sugar to take daily.

I use Candarel tablets at home and lidls brand "cologran" tablets in work. The candarel are nicer IMO.

I find the easiest thing for me is to gradually decrease the amount in each cup, drop it by half a spoon for a week and then another half spoon the following week.

I tried this for a while, but failed. :( Same with milk, though I have reduced the amount of milk I put in coffee substantially.

This is the best / easiest way imo. You really don't notice it if you do it gradually.

Stevia is apparantly the most natural / least evil alternative to sugar though.

try fructose..its expensive but you will use less, or just use brown sugar!
