Freeing up disc space on SAGE

Anyone know how to do this?
I have used up all of the space I have available on sage (as a result of which the system is constantly crashing and I can not save any reports or process bank recs etc...basically I cant do anything) and am wondering how to compress data or free up space on the sage system.
To date I havent had any success and think that the minimum £500+ annual support charge from Sage is ridiculous seeing as all I need is to free up space. Have had the system for over a year and havent needed any support assistance so the thought of handing over 500 now in tight times is far from ideal.

Tiz driving me around the bend

Not an IT expert, but I don't think this has anything to do with SAGE. Surely it's the memory on your PC that's the problem. I don't think SAGE itself has any "space".

I would agree that space is more a PC that a Sage software issue. I would firstly do a back up of your data. It may cost you a lot more that 500.00 if you system crashes completely. I would get it checked ASAP

    Good luck with it.

Try post a thread in the Computers forum and ask them for help. They may be able to pin point the exact issue for you so that you know how much it will cost to fix and how to fix it.

Cheers Lads but its not a computer issue.
I have any amount of space on the computer.
Confirmed with someone else that SAGE freed up the space on their system when it was full.
Once you get to around 20,000 journals or something to that effect it is full. Would have imagined that once you delete these and compact them they would be ok but it aint the case.

    Thanks anyway
