Zinfandel on Market Kitchen

    Watching Market Kitchen the other night they were sampling this Californian Zinfandel that seemed to go down veeery well with all the tasters!

    They said it was called Deloach Zinfandel and it was widely available, but after checking out a few supermarkets and then online I can't find it anywhere here.

    Anyone know if you can get it here or have a recommendation for something similar?

    Not sure about your Deloach but any good sized Tesco will carry about six or seven Zinfandels from €9 to €25. It is worth buying the range to see how different the ‘grape’ is expressed and all that jazz. If you like it try Italian Primitivo, the same grape but different location and treatment.

    American wine is not readily available here other then the cheap stuff. Michells on Kildare St. have a decent selection, but it's pricey.
