PCI power connectors

    HI,

    am about to buy a PCI-e GC that requires 2 * 6 pin power connectors.

    just checking my ps online and it states that it has 2 * 8 pin pci power ones.

    are these 8 pin - 6 + 2 - where I can use the 6 needed ??

    Check the GPU. They usually come with power adaptors. My 4850 for example came with a splitter to power it up from 4 pin plugs.

    i searched google for pics of my ps and it shows 6 pin even though it states 8 pin.
    easiest way is to check the pc tonight and order the gc then.

    yep - ps has 2 * 8 pin which is really 2 * 2 + 6 pin
