Will an Ubuntu (the latest one from the website ...) allow me to access a XP Pro Dynamic disk?

    Thanks

Probably. You can boot up from the Ubuntu CD into a live session, and have a look to see what it can see. Normally it allows access to any Windows files that might be on the hard drive.

It won't make any changes to your computer, unless you specifically do something yourself.
