    Hi,

I have just left work (more than likely my timing is all wrong) and i am looking to get into a college course of some kind for music production.

A little background, I have expirence, im just turning 26 and certainly not a time waster.

Can anyone give me a little help with where to go, and would it even be possible this late in the year.

    Thanks

There's a thread here somewhere with a list of a lot of the schools in the country.

    Give them a bell !

I went to Pulse and loved it. They'll take pretty much anyone with a good interest in music and the $$$

    not to late for pulse.

theres 2 course choices for you. the diploma focuses mostly on the sound engineering end and you can do either full or part time.

the new degree course is geared more towards musicians and and there is an interview with quite strict criteria.

i'd recommend giving them a ring and organising a chat with naomi.

Go and telephone them all and see how you get on. Some of the degree courses will consider your application even if it's late.

Give them all a ring, with the VEC courses you'll have to be quick, there may still be some interviews you can get to. Ring up find who the head of the media faculity of the college is and speak to them directly. It can be done this late but you'll need to get directly to the people involved in the course and explain the situation to them. They are always anxious to fill the places with good people so you'll still be in with a chance.
