Dunno about where .... but if you need motivation know that the house wines at the restaurant where we're having our reception at list at Euro 25 - and I've seen the exact same bottles selling online for Euro 3,40 - Euro 4,10.

A business has to make a profit somewhere so it might as well be in the wine.

    hi there
we bought our wine in sainsburys in newry.
It was easy enough for me since i dont live that far, so over 2 normal shopping visits we picked up all the wine for the wedding.

I kept an eye out for a decent bottle of wine on offer, usually at half price.
We ended up paying just over €4 a bottle (ok bare in mind the exchange rate was so much better a few months ago, but still now for same type you;d only be paying 4.50 if it was on offer) not forgetting the extra 5% off if you buy over 6 bottles.
The red wine we got retails in the south for almost €15 a bottle.

    best of luck x

I got my wine and champagne from The Sunday Times Wine Club, I can't recommend them highly enough, the wine is fantastic, reasonable (168 bottles of wine, 36 bottles of Champagne for €1,300)

I have heard a number of people raving about Bennetts Wine Warehouse, up in the North. They deliver cases of wine to the republic of ireland for €8 per case ( a case consists of 20 bottles) You should check out the link below, there is a guy there by the name of Sean who is meant to be a legend!!!

I get a lot of wine from the wine buff in Drogheda and the quality is excellent plus its the only wine the girlfriend can drink without getting a hangover (1 bottle not 10!! :))
