Depends on the Judge. Normally between 12.30 and 2.30. Not a full two hours but could be anytime between that. Court number 1 has a murder trial on at the moment and court No 2 will be looking at criminal and appeals.

Thanks. Went to 1 for a bit today. Do you know if the public ever go to the upstairs courts? I wanted to go to the coroners court, but was too scared, I know there just like classrooms or something, you cant really just wander in...

Court no 3 upstair is mostly family law...i think but im not sure. Family law is a closed court and the public has no right of access. Coroners court isnt that interesting really. Not that scary either!!

I have to say the Circuit Criminal Court is one of the most interesting courts. The interaction between solicitors, Barristers, the police, the witnesses and the Judge is eye opening and an experience. It is fascinating to see such a case from start to finish....i would recommend going to see a case in action to anyone :) The sentencing cases are also extremely interesting, watching the Judge consider his reasons for imposing the sentence/mitigating factors he takes into account and his views on the offences at hand. I also enjoy the District court cases, these involve mainly road traffic offences and drunk and disorderly offences but, equally enjoyable to see the Judge enforce the law to each particular case.
