Hi,

I can't seem to find this in FAQ, but how do I create a table in a thread. Have seen others do it and have tried various things (e.g. copying from Word/Excel) without success.

Thanks.

Hi, yeah, it's a bit complicated but once you get the gist of it it's easy.

Firstly you open with the TABLE tag and make sure to immediately put your text in after the tag, don't return to create new line.

Then you treat each line like a row and seperate the columns with a bar |

Heading 1|Heading 2|Heading 3
3215|553|382
bkbjsdv|kjbjkk|jkjkjka

Heading 1|Heading 2|Heading 3
3215|553|382
bkbjsdv|kjbjkk|jkjkjka

I always forget how to use this feature, and I'm not sure if I'm using it to its fullest, but that's the basics.

/you're right, it's not in the FAQ, maybe Dav or Darragh will see this and copy my text in or make it better somehow. url=http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055547131]link for the Davragh if they are reading this[/url

Also, javaboy points out that there are colspans and headers and counters:

hello|bleeble|blabble
dog|cat|rabbit
dog|rat|bat
{colsp=2}fish|pig
canary|gerbil|hamster
john|bob|jim
jim|cary|grant
mitchell|webb|ellis

hello|bleeble|blabble
dog|cat|rabbit
dog|rat|bat
{colsp=2}fish|pig
canary|gerbil|hamster
john|bob|jim
jim|cary|grant
mitchell|webb|ellis
