    Hi everybody,

Just looking for your opinions on the following:

About six months ago, my 18 year-old brother stupidly managed to get himself arrested and charged with 'lewd behaviour', while he was in Cork.

Six months ago he was out on a stag night with his friends, decided to leave the hotel he was staying in to go and buy the morning paper, he ventured out to the local shopping centre, was in a shop...quite liked a girl he spotted and was seen on the security camera...lets say making himself happy downstairs.

Anyway, the result of this that his summons for this case arrived a few days ago and he has to go to court in Cork.

Now, when this initally happened...we contacted a solicitor for him, who told us that since this was his first offence, that it's extremely unlikely that he will be jailed for it. Looks like he'll have to pay a fine and he'll be given a caution/warning instead.

Also, he was advised by his solicitor to go for counselling, which he's done for seven sessions so far...solicitor says that this will be good for him as the counsellor is willing to vouch for him in court.

The counsellor said that he was still alcohol induced the next day the incident happened.

Anybody, got any views on this?...similar stories?

Almost certainly, something in the region of a E1,000 fine and a caution/warning will be given in that case.
