Ok, we're down to the last 4. South Africa, Pakistan, West Indies, and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan v South Africa at Nottingham
    Jun 18 (17:30 local, 16:30 GMT)

Sri Lanka v West Indies at The Oval
    Jun 19 (17:30 local, 16:30 GMT)

Who's your money on? I'm going to go with a Pakistan - Sri Lanka final, with Sri Lanka coming out on top.

    Pakistan
South Africa v Sri Lanka as a final for me.

The South Africans have shown they can defend small totals, win with pace attack, win with spin. They are the real deal. If the Sri Lankans do play then in the final and batsmen finally turn up, it will be a brilliant final.

Hoping the England women beat the Aussies in the semi and win the final to show the England men how its done.

Yeah South Africa on paper look the best team, in practice they are too. I just have a feeling they may choke in the semis, and you never know what Pakistan are capable of. I could see Umar Gul bowling late in the innings causing South Africa some problems too.

    Sri Lanka for me.
I admit to be captivated by their unorthodox style.
The three M's with their ZANY bowling actions.
    Dilshans uppercut over the keeper.

Cricket needs this type of stuff IMO.
As long a murali keeps his arm straight.

SA V SL could be a stormer of a final.
    Hope it happens and is.

Laughed at the Sri Lankan team have decided to call it the Starfish, as its the only animal with no brain. And you would have to be brainless to attempt it!!!

    What a shot though.

Didn't one of the Sri Lankans score 4 with the back of his bat yesterday against Oram.

I agree with d'Oracle that watching them bat and bowl is a joy to behold, just think the juggernaut of S.African form will be enough, hope I'm wrong though.

I'm considering running a sweep on the first person in Leinster senior cricket to attempt this shot. Note that John Mooney's over-the-shoulder version won't count.

Tiebreaker will be on the number of nights that person spends in hospital when they direct the ball into their own mouth.

I'm thinking that the Windies might up their game a bit here, and move on to the final.

While Sri Lanka have had a great tourney, and deserve to be here, it's really on the back of some great bowling from the M's, mainly Malinga.

Malinga won't be opening the bowling. Gayle and Fletcher will be opening batsmen.

I can see a 50+ PP from the Windies and they'll grind it out from there.

In the other semi, Saffer-land, while a longer price than any other game (I think) should still have plenty in the tank for Pakistan.

So, for me, SA vs WI i the final, and a Windies win.

Lets give tournament top run scorer, Tilakaratne Dilshan his dues here too, chief.

(frickin love those Sri Lankan names too.)

Afridi starting to go after the bowlers. 4 fours in a row. He's approaching his 50. He'll probably do something stupid and get out soon though.

The wheels fell off Pakistan's innings. They were looking good for 160/170 at least and in the end tailed off and couldn't quite make 150.

South Africa must be favourites to win now I would think.

Afridi means business with the ball now. going to be interesting to see if the South Africans choke again or not. 50-3

Afridi has just ripped the heart out of South Africa's batting. Great bowling.

I'd posted that I was pro-SA earlier this week but after examination of the line-ups I stuck Pakistan in a wee 5-fold.

Yeats came in, the cricket is going my way, but Tipsy in the tennis messed up. Oh well. 30-1 fare thee well.

Didn't expect that tbh, Pakistan win by 7 runs.

Fair play to Pakistan I honestly believed South Africa would easily beat them but the best team won on the day. The last three overs were fantastic viewing you could really feel the tension from the players and for such a young bowler to bowl the last over was great.
